Maarten studied law in Groningen and Maastricht. In the latter city, he took a master’s degree in criminal law with the motivation that he would later like to legally assist weaker parties. This is also possible in personal injury law. Because counselling a victim plays an important role in his work as a personal injury lawyer, he enjoys working in this area of law. The fact that JBL&G only assists victims – and does so free of charge – really appeals to him. With great enthusiasm, he likes to put the interests of personal injury victims first.
